SSO stands for Single Sign-On. It is a login method that allows a user to access multiple services using just one ID and password.

Instead of creating a separate account for each service, you only need to sign in once, and you can use all the connected platforms without logging in again.

How SSO Works
You visit an SSO-enabled website.
You log in with your username and password.
The system verifies your identity.
Once logged in, you can use all other connected services without re-entering your credentials.

Benefits of SSO
One ID, many services
Saves time and effort
Fewer passwords to remember
Better user experience
More secure if used with OTP or two-factor authentication

SSO Examples in India
1. SSO Rajasthan (sso.rajasthan.gov.in)
Rajasthan government’s SSO portal allows users to access over 100+ state services, like job applications, electricity bill payments, Bhamashah card, Jan Aadhaar, etc.

2. DigiLocker (digilocker.gov.in)
DigiLocker allows you to access various documents like Aadhaar, driving license, and marksheets from one secure login.

3. UMANG App (umang.gov.in)
UMANG is a mobile app by the Government of India that provides access to central and state services with one login.

4. MyGov Login (mygov.in)
MyGov allows users to log in once and participate in multiple government surveys, discussions, and tasks using a single sign-on experience.

Where Else is SSO Used?
Google Accounts: One Google login gives you access to Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Maps, and more.

Facebook Login: Many apps and websites let you sign in using your Facebook account—this is also a form of SSO.

Corporate Portals: Companies use SSO to let employees access tools like email, HRMS, and project management software with one login.
